Free Intro Class

Free Intro Class is offered for the 1st time students. After taking this class you can join our beginner group.

Beginner group

Beginner group is a right place to start Tango. Beginner tango classes created for people who have never danced Argentine Tango before or for students with less than 2-month experience of tango dancing.

In each tango lesson we will learn the basic fundamentals of tango such as: the basic communication between the man and woman in tango, the basic principles of leading and following, our own axis, our weight on one foot and shifting the weight, our foot work and the connection with the floor, the simple disassociation, the first steps in parallel and cross systems, our embrace.

From the first class you will be listening to tango music and you will be introduced to the tango culture and different tango activities around the world. You will be given a complimentary tango CD and some interesting articles to read.

We hope to make you interested in tango and give you the best way to learn this magic tango dance.

Our beginner course is a very important course to start with and it is very important to attend each class. The material that you will receive from us will be an excellent fundamental for you to move forward to another step. In addition, it will help you to accommodate the new activity in your life.

After completing 5-week series classes, students may move to Intermediate level. There is no pre-registration required for beginner group. You can join this group at any time. You can chose to pay for each class (drop in) = $ 15 (students $ 12) or you can buy a package for 5 classes = $ 55 (students $ 45).

Intermediate group

Our Intermediate tango classes designed for people who have completed 5-week series beginner classes.

In each tango class, we will continue to learn the fundamentals of tango and move forward toward figures that are more complicated. The speed of the classes and material will depend on ability students to understand the material and perform it.

There is no pre-registration required for intermediate group. You can join this group at anytime. You can choose to pay for each class (drop in) = $ 15 (students $ 12) or you can buy a package for 5 classes = $ 55 (students $ 45).

Tango Technique class

The technique classes are the special classes where the students mainly learn the bodywork in tango. You might notice while taking several tango classes, that the tango dance is a little more complicated than it assumed to be. Furthermore, there is special technique for each figure or even simple step that needed to be taught by teachers and understood by students.

Usually technique classes are divided for Women’s technique, Men’s technique and Couple’s technique. In an advance level, the separation might be in a different way.

Pre-registration is not required for drop-in students, but if you plan to take several classes, we recommend our special 5-class package with discount. Select one of the options below to purchase 5-week package.

Our package for 5 classes is value for 3 month since the time of purchase. Refunds can be requirested before taking first class ($5 processing fee will be collected for all refunds).

Morning Tango Group

Have no time? Then join our morning beginner group for 5-week series! Registration is required. E-mail us to info@tangokiss.com Schedule Thursdays at 11pm – 12pm. Start date TBA.

Private lessons (1 student or a couple) are $60 per hour with Anton or Kristina and $90 per hour with both instructors. Contact us to check availability and to schedule.

Small groups. Learning in a small group is a great way to learn fast and save money! We offer small group semi-private lessons for 2 couples: $120 per hour, 3 couples: $150 per hour and 4 couples: $170 per hour.

Argentine tango is a social dance and a musical genre that originated in Argentina and Uruguay. Tango is essentially walking with a partner in an embrace and the music. Musicality (i.e. dancing appropriately to the emotion and speed of a tango) is an extremely important element of dancing tango. A good dancer is one who makes you see the music. Argentine tango relies heavily on improvisation. One of the few constants across all Argentine tango styles is that the follower will usually be led to alternate feet. Another is that the follower rarely has her weight on both feet at the same time. Every moment in dancing is led not only in direction but also speed and quality ( a step can be smooth, pulsing, sharp, long, short, quick, slow, etc.). Argentine tango is a living act in the moment as it happens.

Start to dance Argentine Tango can everyone at all ages and all physical condition. What you need is just come to our first class in a beginner group (see our schedule)! You can also try our private lessons.

No partner required.Tango is a partner dance and we try to balance followers and leads in our classes. We change the partners frequently to make the learning process more effective.

If you are a beginner student, feel free to wear anything comfortable with the exception of shoes with rubber sole that leave marks on the dance floor. Women may prefer to wear heels, but it is not neccesary for beginner classes.

As your tango progress (6 months or more experience), you may consider buying special tango shoes. Please feel free to ask and we'll give you some recommendations.
